Amazon.com:
The second season of the popular comedy-adventure Naruto begins with the second round of the Chunin exams. To reintroduce the main characters, the eternally impatient Naruto Uzumaki starts the show "27 minutes early--in the time slot of The Prince of Tennis"--so everyone has to scramble to fill the time until the videotape arrives. But once this very silly introduction concludes, the tone of the series darkens and the relationships grow more complicated. Brooding, beetle-browed Rock Lee reveals his affection for Sakura, just as she's coming to terms with her former best friend (and rival for Sasuke's affection) Ino. Sakura and Sasuke grudgingly gain a little respect for Naruto--when he's not annoying them by shooting off his big mouth. But the most significant development is the emergence of the villain Orochimaru, a reptilian character with a prehensile tongue Gene Simmons would envy. One of the most notorious and deadly criminals in ninja history, Orochimaru is drawn to Sasuke's extraordinary abilities, and he plans to ensnare the young ninja as an accomplice. Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke fail to grasp the seriousness of Orochimaru's plot, although the Hokage and his lieutenants are on the alert. This dire threat infuses the often slapstick antics of Squad Seven with a menace the first season lacked. Naruto may still be everybody's favorite knucklehead, but he's up against much tougher foes. The three-disc comes with the bound storyboards (in Japanese only) of Episode #29, "Naruto's Counterattack: Never Give In!" (Rated T+ Older Teen; suitable for ages 12 and older: violence, brief nudity, toilet humor) --Charles Solomon

5 out of 5 starsChunnin Exam pt 2: Forest of Death
Box Set 3 might just be my favorite. The Uncut releases are still the best to found pretty much for this series or any other. These 13 episodes generally full of action, drama and are pretty dark. All the teams who have made it this far must now compete directly against each other to obtain a complementing scroll. This will allow them access to the tower at the center and let them move to the next round of eliminations. The best part of this arc is the introduction of Orochimaru and level or seriousness and intensity he brings to the entire series. His scenes against Sasuke are some of the most memorable throughout the anime and the manga. And the anime does a great job communicating the fear Orochimaru brings out in his opponents. Naruto also has some standout moments with and without the help of the Nine-tailed fox.

Another very positive aspect of this arc is the amount of character development and action we get from secondary characters. The other teams from the Leaf Village and the Sound Village get fleshed out a bit more, and you start to see into the ever expanding world of skills and techniques the ninja have. While the team from the Sand Village, mostly Gaara, shows how very terrifying they are. In conclusion, this is the best Naruto box set so far, and very good reason to continue with the story. Basically, if you can't get into this series of episodes, then Naruto probably isn't for you, because this IS what Naruto is about and is the real beginning of many things to come.

5 out of 5 starsChunin exam continues!!
The squad is back again in box set 3, only to face one of the deadliest challenge of all as they keep going on their chunin exam. The suite of the exam take place in the forest of death where they have to battle their rivals by collecting the scrolls of heaven and earth. This box set ends with the second stage finished and the survivors forced to face off in a preliminary elimination match before entering the third stage of the Chunin exams. The first battle is between Sasuke and one of the Sound Village ninjas. Just what will happen when Ochimaru's interference comes to light?
Here s what it s written in the back of the box set 3:

"AS THE CHUNIN EXAM CONTINUES, NARUTO, SASUKE AND SAKURA FACE THEIR DEADLIEST CHALLENGE YET. DEEP IN THE FOREST OF DEATH. THEY MUST BATTLE THEIR RIVAL NINJA TO COLLECT THE SCROLLS OF HEAVEN AND EARTH. iTS NO EASY TASK, BUT THERE IS AN EVEN DARKER FORCE AT WORK? SOMETHING EVIL IS AFOOT AND ITS AFTER SASUKE!"

There is 3 discs with 4 episodes each and here they are:
DISC 1:
26.Special report: live from the forest of death
27.The chunin exam stage 2: the forest of death
28.Eat or be eaten: the panic in the forest
29.Naruto s counterattack: never give in
30.The sharingan revived: dragon-flame jutsu
DISC2
31.Bushy Brow's Pledge: Undying Love and Protection!
32.Sakura Blossoms!
33.Battle Formation: Ino-Shika-Cho!
34.Akamaru Trembles: Gaara's Cruel Strength!
DISC 3
35.The Scroll's Secret: No Peeking Allowed
36.Clone vs. Clone: Mine are Better Than Yours!
37.Surviving the Cut! The Rookie Nine Together Again!
38.Narrowing the Field: Sudden Death Elimination!

There's a lot of suspense and action in this box set and i really like it because it shows you so much more then the two first ones!!!!
Like I said in my other reviews of BOX SET 1-2,I suggest you to buy them two at the times because if you get excited just like me every time there is a fight or good action, you might notice that they always cut it at the end of the third disc for you to buy the next season!!!
Hope the review helped you!!! If You like Japanese animations, YOU WILL LOVE THIS ONE!!

4 out of 5 starsExams: Forest of Death
This box set contains the episodes which introduce more ninjas with new techniques and brings one of the most important antagonists of the early series into the story. Also someone gains extremely dangerous power so the episodes are interesting, but not my favorite in the series. Still a must watch!

5 out of 5 starsVolume 3... Still pushing forward on this great series...
Volume 3 of the series starts with a very humourous introduction that recaps the first 25 episodes due to a "mistake" made by Naruto. It then introduces the new opening song... which is a very addictively awesome song. In my oppinion one of the best openings I've heard from any series, animated or not.

Volume 3 takes the viewer into the forest of death where the main villian for the series is first glimpsed in Orochimaru. Volume 3 is also where Naruto begins to let some lesser shown characters take the spotlight. Rock Lee... the annoying little brat from Volume Two becomes an instant fan favourite as he shows his skills and his high morals. And Sakura, finally does something useful while her comrades are out.

Once you watch Volume 3 there is no going back. Naruto will have you hooked!

5 out of 5 starsNice gift for any Naruto fan
It has lots of things that were cut from the series that ran on cable. Without taking out the things that we are interested in seeing. Plus there are 12 episodes in this volume spanned over 3 disks and a collectible book for one of the episodes. Nice pricing, shipping and item received. Its hard not to be into or get the series. If you aren't already. A purchase of this or any other Naruto Uncut boxed set will have them thanking you for buying it.
