Awesome I started watching this show on TV and I wanted to have the season for myself. Just wish I could get the rest of the seasons to have at home.
What I Like About You Extremely funny series. I would recommend it for any Amanda Bynes or Jennie Garth fan. This is the first time I have seen Jennie Garth doing comedy and this genre really suits her and of corse Amanda is her usual funny self. It is a shame that you can only purchase the first season because I thought that the more I watched the funnier it got and I'm sure the next 3 seasons would be very worth watching.
surprisingly good! When this show was still on air I didn't give it the time of day, figuring it was just another cheesy family sitcom (which it sorta is) and plus, ill admit, I based my decision not to watch it on the fact that I'm not much of Jennie Garth fan. But I do like Amanda Bynes, despite her corny sense of humor, so I decided to watch one of the re-runs one random day and I've been hooked ever since.
True, it is pretty much a cheesy family show, with corny jokes, but still a fun, entertaining watch. Its the perfect show to watch during a lazy afternoon.
The show is about two sisters, Val (Jennie Garth) and Holly (Amanda Bynes) who share an apartment together in New York City, and are always getting themselves into one messy situation or another.
I haven't bought the DVDs yet, because I watch the re-runs nearly everyday, but I am planning on buying the DVDs at some point, which is why I'm disappointed to see that none of the other seasons have been put out yet!
I really hope they come out soon. And I definitely recommend that you watch this show and give it a chance because who knows, maybe you'll end up loving it like I do!
Bynes as always a joy to watch I originally came upon this series, in fact Amanda Bynes by accident. I had bought a video for my son to watch. After he had returned to his x-box I could not turn off the disc. I could not believe a movie geared toward young teens would so engross me. Amanda Bynes was funny, energetic, original and refreshing.
Having exhausted all of her movies shortly after, I then found this set of episodes from earlier in her career. She is fantastic. her facial expressions and reactions often have me laughing before they even arrive in anticipation of what she will do. She carries off the comedy like a fat lady devours a snickers. With enthusiasm, deftly and naturally, like she was born to do it.
Though I have seen Rex do better things, I am also a fan of the part Jenny Garth plays. whew! Can I forget 90210, what a departure. But a nice one, a good character for Amanda to play off of.
Finally Wesley Jonathan always brings life to the scenes he's in. Funny guy. Am surprised I have not seen him in much else. Great comedic presence. still it is Amanda that steals the show.
The series has a great blend of family, romance and comedy.
If you are a fan of hers this is a no brainer. She truly is fantastic.
Gift for wife, she loved it!! Got this for my wife and she loved it. She's a big fan and I guess I'll be watching out for Season Two if there is one, because she'll definately want it!
