Authentic Design The Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet is incredibly detailed, resembling Optimus Prime right down to the grooves on his forehead plate. Constructed from durable plastic and finished in vivid colors, this helmet is virtually indistinguishable from the Optimus Prime in the movie. If your child isn't using it as a toy, you could easily put it out as a display piece. The helmet also features easy-to-adjust straps, which fit the helmet comfortably over your child's head.
Transform Your Voice This helmet uses an incredible voice modulator system to transform your young hero's voice and make it sound just like Optimus Prime's. It doesn't matter whether you're a little kid or a full-grown adult -- when you speak through the microphone, your voice will instantly be changed into the rich baritone of the Autobots commander. In addition to changing its wearer's voice, the helmet also features sound effects and has five different voice clips from the movie. Unforgettable lines such as "I am Optimus Prime" can be played at the touch of a button, making this the ideal role-playing toy.
About Transformers The Transformers began as a Hasbro toy line back in 1983, featuring toy vehicles that could transform into robots. The toys soon inspired an entire universe of fictional story lines, pitting the two factions of Transformers -- the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons -- against one another. A live-action movie based on the Transformers was released in 2007 and has continued the toy line's extreme popularity. With toys such as the Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet, kids can bring home the struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons.

I AM METROID PRIME I wanted this for some time now.. $[...] at radioshack was a bit much so amazon saved my day. I'm 23 and I had too much fun annoying the friends with this already. At first it was hurting my nose but after adjustments it fits great and all i want is an Ironman version now!
Great gift, my father borrowed it (weird) and it remains at his house, i think he prank calls people with it.
Optimus Prime Voice Changer- neat idea, but not great quality for the money We soon discovered that this would be awesome if there was a volume/microphone control. The pre-programmed phrases worked fine, but when the microphone was turned on to change my son's voice, it was too loud and full of static like a blown speaker. It sounded better if he took it off and spoke while it was further from his mouth, but that is no fun if he can't wear the helmet. We paid almost $50 dollars for this including shipping to get it by Christmas and my son only played with it a couple of times. If the glitches were corrected, it would be well worth the money, but as is, it was a waste.
Even my husband loved this one. We couldn't keep the grownups off this one. Now my 28 year old son wants one! It was a huge hit with the 5 year old crowd too. It appears to be well made and has withstood the 5 year olds AND the 20 somethings.....
A Parent's Perspective-Not a Crash helmet Ahh the joy of toys that make noise. My children each received one of these for a gift from their grandmother at Christmas. Here are some bullet points to know before purchasing: - Does not work as a safety helmet, particularly on bikes and scooters. - Actually, helmets make riding bikes and scooters more dangerous because they apparently make mailboxes and bushes invisible to the wearer. - Voice box does not work after going into the tub, even if you were just playing that the transformers were fighting in the rain with the shower on. - Two helmets, when hit together while being worn by a 6 and 10 year old "head butting" cause cracks in the plastic and make the voice boxes create a lovely screeching crackling noise. - Helmets do not protect against younger brothers with large sticks - Though the voice boxes make a variety of noises, they can turn parents into raving lunatics after just 1 hour of being worn by a 6 year old. - 6 year olds apparently cannot see when wearing the helmet, and will create marks on your walls and doorframes from the "ricochet" they do while running through your home at top speed with the helmet on. - Tying a blanket around your neck to create a "cape" while wearing helmet still does not allow flight off of the landing on the staircase. Helmet does not protect against the "landing" from such an attempt either.
Lucky for me (since I can't stand toys that make noise) the voice boxes on these were killed within the first month of ownership. They are now used as costuming and crash helmets by my not so bright children. For the price they are at now, if you can stand the noise until your kids kill it; these are great fun for little boys. (I haven't had the pleasure of testing on girls.)
Fun helmet My son took the transformers helmet for Show n tell, he became a hero that day. Its nice to see your voice change; they try all sorts of phrases to hear how their voice sounds.
