3 out of 5 starsGood Documentry
Good reveiw of a fans journey from the axing of the series to the making of the film Serenity.

5 out of 5 starsDownright Inspirational
I first heard about this at ComicCon, and I'm so glad I went straight here and bought it. If you are a "Firefly/Serenity" fan, it'll make you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time - just like the show. Like many others, I didn't even become a fan until "Firefly" had left the air, so I was spared the agony of its cancellation, but I can share the pain watching these Browncoats relate how it hit them and be inspired by their determination to "do the impossible" and keep the show flying. Watch this, and you find yourself loving the fans, loving the actors, loving the crew, and above all, loving Joss Whedon for everything he brings to his 'verse. And now that I'm one of those still begging those who haven't seen "Firefly" to just go ahead and BUY the DVDs - don't bother renting... who's given it for Christmas and birthdays, and who still hopes for more.... Well, I watched this and laughed and cried and sang along and really loved every minute of it.

5 out of 5 starsHow I Became a Browncoat
It was this documentary, as shown by the fans who made it at Comic-con International, that made me want to know what all the craze was about. My friend said, come sit through the documentary and on Saturday I will come over and we'll watch the show. By the time it was over I couldn't wait and I said... "WHAT TIME SATURDAY?!?!" You too will want to dawn your Jayne hat and sing about the Hero of Canton after watching the best fan documentary I have ever seen!

5 out of 5 starsMust-Have Documentary by the People who Were There
This is a must-have documentary for anybody who is trying to figure out what the crazy Firefly fans are on about! It's funny, witty and packed with juicy interviews with the stars of the tv show and "The Big D--n Movie", as the fans call "Serenity", as well as Joss Whedon and a flock of the best fans in the world. Learn how a short-lived TV show became a phenomenon- by the power of the fans!! This is made by the fans for the fans and for everybody who enjoys good sci-fi. Can't recommend it enough! Buy it!

4 out of 5 starsWe Have Done the Impossible and that Makes Us Mighty
I rarely watch documentaries about fans of a particular motion picture or motion picture genre. I don't consider myself as a Trekkie or a Star Wars fanatic, but after watching Firefly and Serenity I wanted to know more. I wanted to see more of what the fuss was about. I now consider myself a Browncoat.

Done the Impossible: The Fans Tale of Firefly and Serenity is a unique feature. It was made by and stars the fans of Joss Whedon's franchise Firefly. More than a fan produced film it is a record of the grass roots activism of a small but growing group of fans who would not let the show they loved die and their work influenced Universal Pictures to turn their love into the motion picture Serenity.

The film is hosted by Adam Baldwin and it follows the fans from Con to Con from screening to screening. It exhibits such joy that the viewer cannot help but be moved.

The disc is one of the most jam packed single disc editions that I have ever seen. Broken into two parts: the DVD and the DVD-Rom there are almost 15 hours of material. The DVD includes an interactive timeline of the show, trivia games, charity spots, music videos, and five easter eggs. The DVD-Rom portion includes a completely interactive viewing experience that includes transcripts, extended interviews and biographies. All this material is fully searchable and is a lot of fun.

If you are a fan of Firefly and Serenity do yourself a favor and seek this one out. It's worth it.
