Not for windows XP The fallout collection 1 and 2 did not load and run on my windows XP machine. Even with patchs, compatability, and screen resolution changes. (
2 classic games Fallout 1 and 2 are two of the best rpg's ever made. This game has it all great story, good dialog, fun combat, fantastic setting and atmosphere, and meaningful choices that have all sorts of consequenses. My favorite part is the many ways you can solve quest. While the games are great classics they are not perfect. Lots of bugs on both titles even with the patches they included on the cd* though it's not that bad with the patches*. Graphics have aged really horribly for the most part *the talking heads still look cool*. And the turn based combat might turn you off from the game. Overall this is a great package Fallout has stood the test of time and taken its place as the best rpg ever. And while Fallout 2 is not as strong as the first i still replay the game more than anything. Fallout 3 is just a mere shadow of its former self. CRPG fans and open minded gamers this one is a gem.
Still Number 1 The fallout series is still the best adult RPG out there. No other game series (that I have played) has allowed the player to emerse themselves so much and allow one complete control of their destiny. Everytime I've played it, it has been different.
Post Apocolyptic Gold I can't believe it took me this long to play these games. The fallout series is a great blend of action and storytelling in both the style of turn based rpgs like Fallout 1 and 2 or the more action focused Tactics. My favorite part though is that no matter how you set up your character or how you allocate your skills, there is a way to beat the game. The disc also comes with bonus content like artwork and all of the patches originally released for the games so you don't have to search the internet to find them. Just open up the bonus section and you can find a help file to walk you through the process.
The classic game of Fallout The Fallout Series Fallout 1, Fallout Tactics, Fallout 2 was all turn based with choices how you would plan a attack or run. Fallout 3 is live time but when using V.A.T.S. puts the turn base a little bit back in to the game. All the Fallout have the ramdom Easter Eggs and other homur in them. Plus characters from the the frist Fallout: Dogmeat, Hareld (Oais in Fallout 3).
