The original DVD of Pet Detective was full-screen (1.33 aspect ratio) only, though it had a scene with Ace masquerading as Hans Kissvelvet, the dolphin trainer, that was dropped from the theatrical release. The deluxe edition is missing this scene. Very nice but could be better.... Ok, first off, yes they made the first movie Widescreen finaly and they redid the transfers to make them look much better. The sound is improved as well with 5.1 on the first movie.
However, why did they delete the dolphin trainer bit where he talks to the reporters. I mean WTF....Also, they should have made the first one an extended version like was on TV once. On TV they showed a version that had 4 or 5 new scenes added and they were great.
Even though it could have been better it was still worth the money for this set which now looks great on my bigscreen HD TV. The old version looked pretty bad compared to today's standard dvds.
A Very Excellent Set Alrighty then! This is a very excellent set of ACE, if you don't own these films on DVD. then go right ahead and buy them if is that your case. al-righty then! the film are nicely transferred. but as is the case i don't think it comes with any extras except the trailers of on each disc of the films. to me tone loc is a good actor and should keep on doing it. the cartoons are just as funny as the films on the third disc.

For older kids and adults 13 and older. PG-13 for Adult Bathroom Humor and language , but quite funny i must say.
ACE VENTURA RULES I definitely believe that these are the best movies Jim Carrey made, his style is very particular and he succeeded to keep the same quality in both movies.
LLLLLLLLike A Glove This was easily one of the best DVD sets I've ever bought. Both Ace Venturas in one set, and includes the cartoon series. This was a great buy, and well worth it for the price. If you like the movies, you'll love this set. Not sure what some of these people are cryin about. You knew what you were getting when you bought it. If you like Ace Ventura, buy this set!!
