Amazon.com: The ever-swinging Baloo from Disney's Jungle Book has taken up flying and is now the proud pilot of his very own bush plane--problem is, Baloo's laid-back, "work only when you want to" attitude is definitely not conducive to running a thriving business. Add in a young orphan bear named Kit Cloudkicker who's befriended Baloo and stolen a valuable treasure from a band of pirates led by the evil Don Karnage and a newly graduated business major Rebecca Cunningham who's recently purchased the deeds to Baloo's plane and cabin, and you've got an animated series that simply explodes with adventure and conflict. This three-disc, animated DVD set includes the 1990 four-part television pilot and 23 additional one and two-part episodes. The plots encompass everything from piracy and circus performing, to childrearing, oil shortages, and the unexpected importance of good spelling, but what always remains constant is Baloo's willingness to stand up and fight for his friends and what is right, even in the face of the toughest enemy. Throughout his adventures, Baloo also encounters many old acquaintances from the jungle including the corporate maverick Shere Kahn and the ever-cool nightclub operator Louie. Best cartoon ever!!!! ^ I remember this cartoon from my childhood and i finally bought it and me and my 4 year daughter watched it several time and she just loves it. Talespin is such a good cartoon, because now a days there is not that many cartoons that are as good as tailspin.
Come on. I mean, it's Tailspin. ^ It's Tailspin. and it is just as awesome as you remember it. I bought it for my nieces and nephew, so they could have a decent cartoon in their repertoire, but you know I watched it too. Extensively. It is just as witty, and fast paced as it was when I was a kid.
Bad Vendor ^ The DVD set is actually really good - but I don't know whether the hassle was worth it. I ordered this DVD set from Supermart (the vendor) on December 5th, expedited shipping. The item arrived a week after its arrival date, and only after I made several inquiries. Through these inquiries, I discovered that they had entirely forgotten about my order until they received my emails, and they consequently postmarked it belatedly, on December 20th, four days after the expected arrival date. In addition, the vendor proved very difficult to contact, and only gave an email address as contact information. The vendor did not provide Amazon with a tracking number for the product, so it was impossible to trace in transit on its way to my location.
I had also ordered a second DVD set (Adventures of the Gummi Bears) from this vendor under the same order number on December 5th; instead of postmarking both items on December 20th, Supermart entirely forgot about my second purchase, and only sent me the TaleSpin DVDs. Consequently, I had to make another time-consuming series of inquiries. The Gummi Bears DVD set was postmarked on January 4th, 2010 - a month after I had ordered it. This vendor obviously doesn't keep track of some of its customers!
While I was making inquiries, I read other customer reviews about this vendor. It turns out that a few other customers have made similar complaints about this vendor. Apparently Supermart provides fast and easy service to some people, but is slow and unresponsive to others. If you want to be safe, buy from someone else! This vendor could give you a runaround!
Great Cartoon ^ This is a great cartoon that is fun for the whole family. I loved it as a kid and still love it today. This cartoon has action, adventure and comedy that will keep you laughing. It is always fun to watch and see how Baloo is going to get himself out of each mess he gets himself into.
TaleSpin ^ This show entertains kids of all ages. I grew up on this show and now I put it in for my kids and they love it.
