Then it's on to the 1966 Broadway musical, the 1970s feature films (including screen tests of Stockard Channing and Lesley Anne Warren), the paralysis and death of star Christopher Reeve, the subsequent TV series Lois & Clark and Smallville, and the 2006 feature Superman Returns. The documentary also discusses Superman's transformations during World War II, the atomic age, and the 1960s; events in the comic books such as John Byrne's reboot and The Death of Superman; and obscurities such as a pilot for The Adventures of Superpup and the TV-musical version of It's a Bird… It's a Plane… It's Superman. Casi perfecto Me encantó, fascinante historia, reminiscencias y la historia de uno de los mas grandes superheroes de todos los tiempos. Sin embargo una precisión: en la contraportada dice que hay subtitulos en inglés y francés, sin embargo el DVD solo tiene subtitulos en francés y en ingles via Closed Caption. Es uno de los pocos, por no decir, el único detalle que falla. Por lo demás, fantástica producción, además de los recuerdos de un George Reeves siempre grande. Un homenaje y el recuerdo de uno de los mejores.
A Must Own For Any Superman Fan This is the perfect documentary for Superman fans about the last 70 years of our favorite hero. Yes, not every little thing was mentioned in this movie, but way enough to make any fan happy. If you are one of the ones that have seen this on TV, I'd still recommend that you buy this. The DVD has more than the TV version that was edited with commercials and this is widescreen! The picture quality is pefect and the info is priceless. I loved the interviews and scenes in front of and behind the camera. They spend a lot of time on most subjects that they discuss and it is just fun. I have watched this DVD twice just today alone!
It's A Bird..It's A Plane..It's A Must Have I was very happy with this documentary. Kevin Spacey does an excellent narration of Superman. So many things I knew and so many things I didn't. This is a must for any fan of Superman. I already own the TV Series with George Reeves and also own all 4 of the Superman movies.
Loved It I loved this documentary on Superman. It is very well put together, and leaves you wanting more. A must see.
