Perfect for birthday parties!! We got this for our 6-year old daughter's pirate-themed birthday party. It is the perfect size for her to hold when she looks for treasure. We hid her presents all around and she used this Treasure Hunter to find them and bring them to the table for opening. Our other 3 children have used it many, many times since and it seems to be quite durable. We will be getting another one for my niece for her birthday! This is definitely a toy that won't get lost on our shelves. We love this!
Great Gift Item! We bought this toy for our 6-year old niece and were notified immediately upon its arrival at her house that she and her 4-year old brother were having a great time with it! What great fun! This toy is awesome. My daughters are 6 and 3 and they love it. They take turns hiding and finding it. They also have hidden with it and we have to find them! It's also great that it is a toy that both girls and boys love so it gets a lot of use during playdates! It reminds me of a high tech game of (cold...warm...hot...hotter..).
A Treasure Hunt For Your Little Pirate...It's a Pirate's Life for me! This toy is nothing short of fantastic! I bought this for my son (A 4 Year old Pirate in Training)a few months ago and from the minute we put the batteries in, it's been the toy of choice at our house. The Pirate's Life Treasure Hunter consists of a small (small enough for a child to easily carry in their small hands) treasure chest which inside reveals a little plastic clear box which I will put a plastic gold coin in for my son and his friends to find once they locate the chest that I've hidden. It also comes with a small electronic "treasure map" which the child holds onto to while searching for the chest. There are little lights on the treasure map which indicate if you are hot (red) or cold (blue) or getting warmer (orange)as you roam the house looking for the hidden treasure chest. The game couldn't be more simple and any child who can understand directions can play this game which is your basic "Hide and Seek" format. You will delight with glee when you see your childs face light up with smiles galore when they not only locate the treasure chest but when they also find whatever little trinket you hide inside. Excellent Hide and Seek game While this toy is small, it needs to be in order to challenge my five year old and to give me a wide range of places to hide it in. We've played it so much since Christmas that we actually had to replace the batteries already! An excellent toy for the money!
