STILL FUN, A GOOD LICENSED GAME 8.25 OUT OF 10 This game is just as fun as the PS2 version I played and reviewed. The gameplay still revolves around using golf clubs, hockey sticks, snowball guns, and various other weapons to take down demented rats, rabbits, gophers, etc., that have been taken over by the Verminator. Throughout the game you will avoid several laser traps, homicidal barbeques and bushes, steal food from houses, rescue the porcupine kids, unlock special features and minigames, and do so many other things in more than thirty missions of surprisingly good fun. You play as the characters from the movie; RJ the raccoon, Verne the turtle, Stella the skunk and Hammy are the playable characters. While the other characters (and a few new ones) are there, they are not playable in the game. The graphics also look pretty decent for a last-generation game as well. Now to get to the bad; first the camera needs to fixed (It's like I'm playing a PSone game). Second, controls need to be tightened (Why can't I use the second analog stick to control the camera?). Third, the storyline is incoherent and seems to be sloppily put together. And last but not least, the game is more fun on multiplayer. This may seem like a laundry list of complaints, but they mostly seem to drift away while I destroy things, steal food and save my comrades from the Verminator. This game should go down as being among the handful of licensed games that don't suck, because it really should.
friends grandson Purchased this game for a friend to give her grandson, so I am not sure about the product but at last count he was having fun with the game and thanked me for ordering it for his grandmother.
BAAAAD GAME Guess what? I won this game 3 times in 1 hour. The game doesn't even start where it should, it starts in the middle of the movie and has like 4 levels or something. I hated this game.
My kids call it the best game they've ever played My 8 and 6 years kids love it. They called it the best games they've ever played. The movement and action of all characters are so cute and they usually made us laugh. The character have to fight with other animals to finish some "missions". However, they don't really kill enemy...just stun them by various sports goods, toys, or toilet cleaning equipments. No bloody screen and no brutal action. This game can be played alone (with a partner assigned by game) or by 2 players and control is not complicated for young kids. This game is rated Everyone(10+), but I don't think it causes any side-effect for kids under 10.
Wife's Happy!! I usually purchase sports games but I was looking for a game to get my wife involved, she loved "Over The Hedge" so I thought we'd get the game. She couldn't put down the controller. Not since "Zelda" has a game caught her attention. For me, it is what it is, a fun game to play with the wife.
