ONE OF THE GREATEST FIGHTING GAMES EVER! 9.25 OUT OF 10 Street Fighter II: Turbo was one of the first SNES games I owned, and it still rocks after almost twenty years of existence. Without this game there would be no Dead or Alive, no Soulcalibur, no Tekken, and no Mortal Kombat. It really is no surprise when you play this game why it's considered to be one of the greatest games of all time. WHAT THE GAME IS: It's an old-school 2D fighting game, but it's the greatest one ever with a great roster of classic characters, each with their own storyline of why they want to be the greatest fighters, lush detail and animations, great sound effects, and a cornucopia of fighting movies what wouldn't make you want to buy it? GRAPHICS: Lush environments, smooth animation, great character designs, the levels are wonderfully designed. SOUND: There is actually some voice work in here, lots of punching, kicking, screaming, and slamming. MUSIC: Goes with the fighting, but it's nothing overly spectacular, but it sets the mood. Though I wish it had the music of the good SF II ripoff Tuff Enuff. GAMEPLAY: Challenging and highly entertaining, but I did notice sometimes the action would lag a bit. Sometimes you will want to smash your controller during a particularly challenging opponent, but the controls work perfectly for a fighter that uses no analog sticks. The action does move fast and keeps you on your toes while thinking of strategies to beat your opponent. OVERALL: A stellar classic that every gamer should be required to own, with hardly any flaws. But unfortunately, I'd still have to say Dead or Alive is my favorite fighting game franchise ever, so this one comes second. The only flaws in this game are some moments where the fighting lags and the game can get pretty hard during some battles. But if you like gaming, you should play this game, because it's ridiculous if you haven't played it. THE GOOD: Fast-paced fighting, a great roster of characters, lush level environments, smooth animations, good voice work, and decent music. THE BAD: The fighting can lag during some sequences, the game can get tough.
