Fantastic!! The moon itself is truly fantastic. It is realistic looking as well as functions quite well. We purchased the moon for our son for his 6th birthday, upon opening and installing it, the remote didn't quite have the range that it stated in the advertisement. I called the company and they shipped me a new remote - which works beautifully. My son loves the moon and uses it every night. A perfect present!
My Son LOVES this My son received this for his fifth birthday. Since then, he has taken every person who enters our house to see the moon. HE uses it as a night light and with the timer it turns itself off after about 15-20 minutes.I would recommend this highly.
Uncle Milton Moon in my Room This was a gift for my nephew who lives in another state. I received information that Anthony was really anxious to see the moon on his ceiling, and upset they had no batteries in the fridge. Soon batteries arrived and he was able to turn on the 'Moon in his Room' and thought it was really cool! A fun and educational way to learn about that bright light in the night sky.
Son Loves Moon in His Room Uncle Milton's Moon is really cool. I used it as a decoration in my son's outer space themed room. We set it on automatic right before bed time, so he is able to watch the moon go through all it's phases as he goes to sleep each night.
I found the instructions a bit lacking. It would be beneficial to have the instructions for the remote control in writing, rather than on the CD that comes in the box.
The CD offers interesting facts about the moon, as well as perspectives on historical and cultural understandings of the moon.
The only negative I can find is that thhe CD says that the moon comes on automatically when the room gets dark, but we have not witnessed that occur.
Grandson enjoys it! Purchased the Moon for my 3 yr old Grandson. He thinks it is great. A great unique nightlight and we discuss how the moon works! I am considering one for each of the other Grandkids as it is worth the money. A unique gift that lasts a long time. Only suggestion is to keep the remote in a separate place as it is too easy to misplace.
