Product Description: A collection of episodes from the popular animated series created by legendary Japan animator Osamu Tezuka. LEO THE LION, KING OF THE JUNGLE follows the adventures of Leo and his jungle friends. The award-winning television show prides itself on teaching morals to children while being able to capture an adult audience as well. Great for the whole family. 7 episodes including The First Adventure, The Map of Danger, The Blue Lion, Leo Becomes a Father, The Mighty Gorilla, The Golden Bow and The Case of the Moonlight Stone.
Wow! This is by FAR the best animated TV series I have ever seen. The lion king is an exact copy of it and it doesn't even come close. Leo is a great show, (providing you don't mind terrible voice acting) and I reccomend it to animal fantasy fans.
No quality control. These DVDs could not possibly have been checked for quality before being released. The sound on each and every episode is unbelievably, horribly distorted. Yes, you can make out the words, but you'll think someone kicked in the speaker in your TV set. In addition, each episode is shortened by having as much as 5 minutes cut out of it--there is no reason for this in a DVD release.
Inspect Volume 1 immediately if you decide to buy it anyway--the first production run included a wrong disc as one of the two discs in the set.
I don't know why they couldn't have produced a decent product. This classic series certainly deserves it.
