3 out of 5 starsIt's okay, but
my six-year old child got bored with it very, very quickly. I agree that part of the problem is the lack of directions or even hints in the game itself. We couldn't figure out what needed to be done and my kids didn't want to wait around while I read the directions. And one of the creatures always looks angry so my six-year old spent a lot of time trying to make it happy and she couldn't. Other than that, the controls are pretty easy, and my kids liked it for a bit. But I wouldn't buy it again.

4 out of 5 starsgood KIDS game
I'm well over the recommended age and I LOVE Creatures III... so when I saw this one, I snapped it up thinking I would love it too. I was wrong. This one is TRUELY geared towards younger kids.

HOWEVER, that said, it's a neat game for kids with lots to see and do. The controls are simple. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is SO simple... the graphics arent the greatest and it would be nice if it did a little more. You don't have the breeding options or the machines that make the other Creatues games so much fun... which lends to it's simplicity but at the same time, makes the game seem like it's missing something. All in all, a great kids game and worth the buy.

4 out of 5 starsKid Friendly Game with Lots of Playability
I just picked up this game the other day and my 5 year old started playing it right away. She has been addicted ever since. I got bored with it rather quickly, but I had to remember that my boredom is not what determines whether this is a good game or not. My daughter finds the game very easy to manuver and loves all of the different activities she can do with her Norns.

One thing that would make the game a little easier would have been having the manual in print, or accessable while playing the game. There are some things that happen to the Norns that you don't know how to react to, like a thermometer appears next to your Norn and they turn green. Well you know they are sick, but don't know the process to make them better. So I had to exit the game to read the manual that comes on the disk to see how to care for sick Norns. Overall, the directions are easy to follow, but they could be easier to access.

Overall, this is a good game with what appears to be lots of long-term playability.
