Cross between country and new age I love the music of the show. It combines quite a few great sounds and styles but stands alone as its own sound. Once again Joss has written a song that stands the test of time.
In the 'Verse Firefly was a show that deserved better than it got. The music was one key to understanding the show, and Greg Edmonson's genuis shows in every theme.
Great music, but... As much as anyone else, I love the music from this TV series. It's as distinctive a score as anything else. But I have two gripes. Just like all the rest of the reviewers here, I believe "The Hero of Canton" should have been included. It was an instant cult hit like the show itself. Plus, more music from "Bushwhacked" should have made the cut. Particularly, the music played over the scenes of the crew cutting down the bodies of Reaver victims. And the scene of Simon and River hiding from the Alliance outside the ship. One of the more potent episodes. The second gripe is the songs should have been listed in the same chronological order the episodes on the DVD were. But still great listening.
Firefly Soundtrack I am a huge fan of Firefly and couldn't wait to receive the soundtrack. While the snippets of music brought back memories of the show, they were too short and fragmented to be appreciated on their own. I loved the theme song, but would rather down load this from another source and save the cost of the CD. Sorry, guys.
Only one thing is missing I bought this for my son for Christmas. He's very happy with it. The only thing missing is the "Hero Named Jane" song. I really wish it had made the cut.
