Product Description: The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer gives you the chance to be a superhero! The game begins at the end of the hit film, with Underminer's emergence threatening to wreak havoc on the residents of Metroville. Players battle the Underminer and his robot minions in the vast underground world built by this diabolical genius. It's up to Mr Incredible and Frozone to save the day once again. Are you Super enough?
A decent follow-up to the original As mentioned by others, highlights include being able to play as Frozone and the two-player cooperative mode. Down side: it's too easy and too short.
Contrary to other reviewers, I have not had any trouble with the game crashing, although I'm using a Mac. Nor have I had significant trouble using two gamepads simultaneously in cooperative mode. I have had to reconfigure gamepads a few times, but once detected by the game and configured, they work flawlessly. Try plugging them in before running the game.
Rise of the Underminer: Wish there was a film. This game is very fun. Playing as Frozone makes it ten times more fun than if you could only play as Mr. I. The environments are fun and the robots are comical, but the boss levels are easier than they should be. It's made more for windows than mac and runs better on laptops, but it's quite addicting, but short. Rats. But the Nuts and Bolts levels are fun. I wish that Pixar had made a film.
This game is terrible The game crashes and repeatedly reboots my computer after the very first credits screen comes up before the main menu. My system more than supports this game as I have a P4 2.8ghz processor, an ATI X800, 1gb ram etc etc. They have no support for this game either and I have had a very hard time being patient with the techs I get on the phone. All of my drivers are updated as well so I don't know what can be causing the problem. Also, every other game I have purchased in the past year has worked just fine on this PC. Anyway, unless you're prepared for long phonecalls with no results from a crappy tech support team don't buy this game.
Beware! Do not buy this game unless you are SURE that your computer will support it. It will require several upgrades before we can even try it. If you are not a computer wiz, which I am not, get something else. Also, on the package it says it's for 10+, which is different from the 6+ listed on the ad.
My Kids Love this Game We bought this game for our kids (ages 10 and 8) for Christmas... my son (8) especially loves this game. So for at least the first 3 weeks, this game was well worth the money. It is action packed but not too violent and all the kids enjoy playing what they consider a sequel to the movie. (my 4 year old likes to watch the game)
