Product Description: Gnip Gnop is ball flying, button smashing action! In this classic skill and action game, players try to be the first to get all their colored balls on their opponents side of the court by shooting them through the holes in the center. Game includes a break-down game board and six balls.
Amazon.com: This retro tabletop game, reincarnated from the early 1970s, is making a comeback to a new generation. A sort of table tennis with a twist, Gnip Gnop has a plastic court that is a bit flimsy but requires much less room than a ping-pong table. The rules of play are simple: Each player starts with six balls. Players must smash the three buttons in front of them to launch balls through the three hoops onto the other side of the court. The object of the game is to get all six balls on the opponent’s court. The button smashing is a great way to get out frustrations at the end of a hectic day. Beyond that, there’s little more to the game and, it’s uncertain whether this classic can compete with the video game offerings of the new millennium. It’s possible that this may appeal more to 70s-era parents who are nostalgic for reminders of their youth. --Cristina Vaamonde
GNIP GNOP This great game from my childhood prompted me to seek one out for my own rambuncious kids. In searching Ebay for vintage games I noticed the company was again manufacturing "new" games and so I decided to purchase a brand-new "clean" game. However, my new purchase seems to lack stability as compared to the original. Most matches require continual repositioning of the cover/lid to keep the game from coming apart. The buttons also don't seem to have the oomph of the original. There is definately a difference in an "original" Gnip Gnop game and a new one. If I were in the market again, I would opt for an original rather than a new model, newer is not always better.
tinam My sister bought this game for her 7-year-old granddaughter. The 7-year-old has to fight with her 20-year-old aunt to play the game. Even grandma gets in on the action. The game is easy to learn, set-up is a breeze, and it provides hours of entertainment for all ages. It's a classic game that has stood the test of time.
Old School Game! I used to play this game when I was a kid...Bought it for my 7 & 9 yr. old boys...Fun to play...Easy to assemble...:)
Old time fun! This was great fun over thirty years ago, good for coordination for hand and eye. It's an active toy rather than sit and watch so I highly recommend it.
It's still fun today I bought this for me and my 9 year old daughter to play. I figured I loved it when I was growing up I thought she'd like it too. Well, since it arrived 2 days ago she asks me about every 5 minutes if we can play the game. I still enjoy it too. Great game.
