Amazon.com: Slapstick humor gets a full-body workout in Christmas with the Kranks. Critics were unanimous in their derision, and John Grisham must have gnashed his teeth over what studio-boss-turned-director Joe Roth did to his bestselling novel Skipping Christmas, to which this broad-stroked comedy bears little or no resemblance. The title characters are played by Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, who decide to skip Christmas because their daughter's in Peru with the Peace Corps. Thus begins a rabid program of enforced conformity when their neighbors (led by Dan Aykroyd) coerce the Kranks into changing their holiday attitude--a change that comes easily when the daughter announces she'll be home for Christmas after all. Imagine if a suburban lynch mob said "Have a Merry Christmas or we'll kill you," and you'll get some idea of what spending Christmas with the Kranks is really like. And if you laughed at the frozen cat, you're probably on Santa's "naughty" list. --Jeff Shannon
Love - Christmas with Kranks I love this movie! It starts off where your not thrilled with either side - but then shows you the true meaning of Christmas Spirit - love, family, community and how we all should come together for each other.
Just relax and enjoy This movie is a feel good movie with some great laughs. Don't have super high expectations and you will enjoy. The end is very touching.
Really, more like 1.5 stars This movie was just boring. The first time watching it, I was fast-forwarding through it just to get somewhere. I'm giving it alittle more than 1 star though, because there were a few funny moments. It's a shame, it seemed like it could have been really cute.
Fun Christmas Comedy This is a great fun to watch Christmas comedy with a heatwarming ending. My family enjoys watching it 2 or 3 times every Christmas Season.
Completely Awful Ok, so I was searching for some movies to buy for my grandpa, and came across this one. I didn't buy it, but I saw it on T.V.
This movie is SO unrealistic. Everyone in the Kranks' neighborhood is upset that they aren't going to celebrate Christmas. That's the jist of it, but what about Jewish people or those who celebrate Kwanzaa? The plot is just so dumb. It's an unbearable movie.
