JFK The voice is very clear and the quotes are excellent. The doll does resemble Kennedy, as much as a plastic doll can, the voice leaves no mistaking that it is JFK.
Perfect for the Playful History buff When this was delivered, the audio didn't work. Thought I was going to have to return... but a little twist of the batteries set things right.
And because I had to GET TO the batteries, I got a good look at the overall quality of the doll. The detail is truly amazing. The joints are more sophisticated than the average "barbie doll" and the size is maybe just a tad larger.
The detail in the clothing is amazing as well. Tiny snaps close the coat, pants and shirt. Elastic holds the shirt and pants-legs in place so he always looks properly presidential and neat all the way down to his black socks and shoes.
The face of the doll is easily recognized as John F. Kennedy. This isn't a "Ken" doll made over.
The audio - once I tweaked the button batteries in his back - is very loud and clear. Hearing the President's voice speaking those 25 different phrases (which cover the important issues of his short Presidential term) is almost stunning.
Word of warning - this item is made in China and that's clearly marked on the box. They aren't trying to hide it (give them credit for that much) but it's a shame our Presidential dolls couldn't be made in their own country.
This is a gift for my Mom. She's a U.S. History buff and also enjoys unique gifts in general. This doll covers both. Can't wait to see her reaction!
