Product Description: Boating and water sports are popular and lots of fun. Mobile entertainment adds to the fun while presenting installation challenges different from those found in car stereo applications. BOSS Marine products address these challenges with coated circuit boards (sealing out moisture), sealed switches and CD compartments to keep water out. Waterproof materials such as polypropylene and several plastics are used wherever possible to ensure performance and durability in marine conditions.
The Boss is back ^ Had two of these in my old boat. I bought four for my new boat. Listen, they aren't the best sounding speakers but they are loud. If you are looking for quality "sound", don't buy these. If you are looking for loud, durable and cheap, this is your speaker! Be sure to check your existing hole size...these were a little larger than my old ones and I had to re-cut the openings in the boat.
Description ^ I was pleaseantly surprised to find 2 speakers came with this offer. This made a whole lot more sense for the money however, the description of the item says nothing about a pair but simply states a Marine Speaker implying on ONE. We have not installed the speakers as yet but rest assured you will recieve 2 speakers instead of one.
Nice speakers ^ I really like the look and quality of these speakers. I feel I got a great deal on them. Good buy! Boss seams like a good company.
Be aware of your measurements ^ Please be aware that the speaker states it is a 6.5 inch speaker, but the opening it requires is 8 inches. Do not be fooled. I had purchased two sets, and was whacked with $15.00 in return postage. This is not a bargain.
Good for the price ^ Bought these for the external on my camper, look great, sound decent with the low watt camper system. My only beef, and why I didn't give them a full 5 star is that there is very little bass response. If your system has a sub, these will be a great compliment. Again, for less than 25 bucks, these are a great deal.
