You learn the hard life of sickness, snake bites, gunshots, fishing, double -teaming the animals, gathering, hunting, bear and couger injuries in the process of hunting, and shopping and trails. I like going to salt lake city insted of Oregon City because I can never make it to Oregon. I always die of starvation, frostbite or accieental gunshot when I'm the captain of the wagon train.. At first I always used oxen and went hunting all the time, but after I learned to fish and gather I always did that and I swithed to horses insted ox. Thanks to the Oregon trail game, I've learned what the hard life was like on the Oregon Trail.

Yes it is like the game of your childhood I had to have this game, it just reminded me of computer class in 3rd grade, However beware this game has glitches it stopes in the middle and freezes your entire computer, Soo annoying and it does not save so you have to reboot your computer and start all over again. I have windows XP so BEWARE, not worth the aggrevation.
Doesn't install on XP I usually ignore people who have installation issues as I am quite experienced in debugging simple install problems. This game gives a "Severe error" during install on XP SP2 and then promptly exits the installation. For the price, I thought there was not much to lose, but adding shipping it turned out to be a dumb purchase. I will still try to hunt down the problem, but I hate spending my time trying to fix something that says it is XP compatible. Don't waste your time with this!
Insta-Classic To be perfectly honest, I had trouble originally liking this game and I thought the side story was annoying. But the more I played it, the more I saw it's worth. Great sequel and exceedingly addicting.
