Amazon & Roy Rogers Ride Again I was so amazed to find My Pal Trigger! My Father-in-Law is a HUGE Roy Rogers Fan and has alomost ALL of the movies he made. However, he could never find this one. We looked and looked and looked and finally found it on Amazon. We bought it for him as a Christmas present and needless to say he had tears in his eyes! Thanks Amazon for allowing us to bring joy to one someone we love so dearly.
ROY & TRIGGER THIS WAS PURCHASED AS A GIFT FOR A FRIEND WHO IS A ROY ROGERS FAN. SHE JUST RAVED ABOUT THE MOVIE AND HOW MUCH IT BROUGHT HER BACK TO HER CHILDHOOD.
Roy's favorite of his movies I take issue with the negative review on this movie. I found it a two-hanky movie (for anyone who loves animals), some real acting from "Gabby" (who seldom, if ever, played a drunk) and even a surprise ending. Jack Holt is excellent as the heavy, and Roy is far from the usual super-cowboy character in this. (The "California" character mentioned in another review was played by Andy Clyde, and I don't think he ever appeared in a Rogers movie -- mainly in the Hopalong Cassidy and Whip Wilson series.) This is one of two movie versions of how Roy got Trigger, but much the better one.
my paltrigger i did"nt know their were 2 my pal trigger. i have a my pal trigger but it doesn"t say one or two. please explain.
The Best Of Roy Rogers This movie-My Pal Trigger- is stupendous! It is a touching story of Trigger and the beginning of Trigger's and Roy's relationship. Along with co-stars, Dale Evans and Gabby Hayes, Roy breeds his prized mare, Lady, to Golden Sovereign, the fastest horse in the west. The owner of Golden Sovereign refuses Roy's request, but amazingly Lady and Sovereign run off together. Roy is accused of shooting the stallion. Months later, Roy returns with the unregistered foal of the Golden Sovereign as a token of sympathy to the owner. Golden Sovereign's owner sneers and tosses the foal off as a "half-breed". Roy is not about to let him get away with that and promises to prove to one and all that the best horse in the world is- Trigger.
