one of the best childrens albums This was my kids favorite album, tape when they were growing up and I so happy to find it for my grandchildren. My 30 year old still remembers the word to the songs. great music. beautiful voice.
An Old Friend... This was the very first album I ever owned, one day after kindergarten my mother and I went to the mall and she bought this for me on vinyl. While I still have the vinyl edition, I'm glad to finally have picked up a copy of this on CD. It's neat to see the updated cover art too(however I prefer the old one).
If I had my way, ever child born would get a copy of this album. It's straight-forward, well produced, and charming. "Hey Daddy" is a cute nod to children's imagination, "Teddy Bear Picnic" is a hysterical, and "You Are My Sunshine" is a celebration to the wonder of childhood. A definate treat for those who long to relive the comfort and memory of childhood.
Classic kid's music I used to be a daycare teacher, and discovered that the music that made me bounce around when I was a kid still made kids bounce today. I had made up motions to animal crackers and everytime snack time was animal crackers it was "Ms. Jennifer" do animal crackers. They would be laughing and giggling and on occasion actually forgot about the rain outside. It was great. A must have for anyone who had kids or just love to entertain them.
Music for the Generations I grew up with this album, except it was vinyl back then, and now I'm going to get it for my newborn son because it opened up my imagination as a child and I want him to have that experience. My three year old niece loves "hippo in the bathtub" (or hey daddy) and always asks to listen to it. When I was young, my favorite was teddy bears' picnic and I always imagined that I was in the forest having a picnic with the teddy bears. I strongly reccommend this cd for little kids and big kids alike, but I wish it was easier to find in the states.
awesome album I grew up listening to this album on cassette. I still love the songs and can't wait to get this album again and play it for my neices and nephews when they come along.
