Incandescent & shadowed, restorative You will feel rich in soul beyond compare if you buy this album. Brigitte Fontaine & Areski loved each other and this can be felt. Strong and beautiful. I find no single note of sentimentality within any of the pieces. Many of the songs are very brief, encapsulating a suggestion of power that can be very haunting. There is a sense of the ancient about it. It is transporting, meditative and brooding. There is a perfect continuity within the album and you will want to play it end to end and again.
