STP for 9/11 Yes, there's only one song. But the song is awesome. And all the proceeds go to the Twin Towers Fund. How can it be bad?
Good and Good for You This is a nice little single, especially for the price. A great song by a great band covered by a newer good band. Plus, all the proceeds for to charity. What else could you want?
Great Rendition Of A Classic Song Stone Temple Pilots have always prided themselves on their influences and tastes, one of the obvious ones has always been The Beatles. Look at their catalogue and you'll find tunes like "I Got You," "Pretty Penny" and the hit "Sour Girl" and you immediately get a Beatles vibe. Here they cover "Revolution," one of the strongest of all Beatles cuts, with gusto and style. Vocalist Scott Weiland rips and roars here and the entire sound of the track is a wonderful homage to the sound of the original but updates it for the 21st Century. It proves classic songs still rock more now than ever. This is also a band that has proven they can play songs from the greats, consider their renditions of "Dancing Days" for the Led Zeppelin tribute album and "Break On Through" for The Doors homage, both were also great, memorable versions. Here they do "Revolution" with a vibe and energy that is both classic and timeless, maybe someday they will treat us to versions of "Tomorrow Never Knows" or "Happiness Is A Warm Gun."
A great cover and a good way to contribute "Revolution" is a Beatles song that STP covered and released as a single this past fall. The proceeds that would normally go to the band get contributed to the Twin Towers fund, as does a (small) portion of the record label's proceeds. There really isn't much to review since it is just one song. If you're a Stone Temple Pilots or a Beatles fan (or both) pick up this CD. It's an easy way to contribute and you get a great song too.

Great single for a good cause. This single is wonderful. Stone Temple Pilots cover this classic tune and add an edge to it. There's also a special behind the scenes footage of the band recording the song. Must buy!!
