Editorial Review: Magic: The Gathering is not an easy game to learn and an even tougher one to master. It is, however, one of the more intriguing, addictive, and popular games of the last ten years. This deck features 75 cards to get you started on hosting your own Magic tournament. Besides making for a fun evening, the cards feature art that is simply stunning from fantasy artists including Alan Pollack, Jerry Tutilli, and Luca Zontini. Learn about the Were Bear, the Crypt Keeper, and the Thought Eater, and use them to defeat your opponents. Even seemingly simple location cards such as the ones for the swamps, the plains, and the forests are beautifully detailed. --Charlie Williams
This Game Is So Fun!!!!! Oh my god this game is fun. I havent bought this deck yet but i've bought a ton of different ones. If you really like this game i suggest you should look at the Magic The Gathering books and look at friday night magic. For me its kind of hard to find people to play with but when i play its very fun. The pictures on the cards are very cool and this game is much better than yugio or pokemon. Oh yeah if you like this game check out Dungeons and Dragons.
extremely fun I love to play this game at my high school and i think it is very challenging, fun, and also it takes strategy. My friend taught me to play this game and the first 2-3 times i was confused but soon i learned and got better and better. This game is more fun than pokemon and also is cheaper, plus I am goin to say it is better than yugio because i despise that game, first off yugio is expensive and i think the pictures are very corny.Magic teaches you strategy and you can go from casual to tournament playing. Also its not a childs type game like pokemon, this is good from ages 12-80.Oddesy is a good expansion pack.
Beautiful, Addictive Game I'm just your ordinary, everyday, average guy. When i was about 10 years old, my cousin bought a large box of strange cards when he was visiting my house. He pulled out these "Magic" cards and i thought he was gonna pull a rabbit out too. Instead of finding a rabbit, I found a fun-filled, extraordinarily customizable game. First of all, there are infinite ways of winning. Each individual match is unique. Players play with a deck of 40 cards or more, all vividly illustrated and each with its own unique ability set. There are five colors, Red, blue, black, white, and green. Each color has its own set of creatures and spells unique to its color. This game is truly excellent and a great alternative to video games. Hey, If you don't believe me, buy a deck for yourself and start playing!

Older kids only I LOVE this game- when I can find someone to play with. It is innovative, involves more strategy than luck, and has a fantasy element that enhances the fascination many people have with it. It encourages creativity and can be either very casual or very rigid and competitive, according to your tastes. However, while there are people who play it all over the world, there are not necessarily a lot of them in one place. It does get pricey, particularly if you are into collecting, tournaments, or even just keeping up with the current sets. It is also a very complex game- somewhat difficult to explain without watching at the same time, and almost impossible to learn without some outside resource (book, friend, etc.)
