Product Description: The LS 400 is designed to accurately reproduce high fidelity music in a variety of applications, including home theater. Not only are these loudspeakers weather resistant for outdoor use, they also include color matched brackets for mounting in most any environment. The LS 400 speakers are manufactured to resist a variety of weather conditions. However, they are not waterproof, so if you decide to place your speakers outdoors, position them so they are not exposed to the elements. The under-sides of most eaves and overhangs provide the best protection for indoor/outdoor loudspeakers. Like all speakers, the LS 400's sound best when placed no more than seven feet apart, ear level to the listener. If the speakers are closer than that, toe them in toward the center of the room. Do not place them within two feet of a television or computer screen, as these speakers are not video shielded.

Great value & product - performs well inside and out! ^ I like these speakers. I bought two sets; one for my living room and one for my outside work area.
In the living room, this product sounds excellent and is a good value compared to other products, like those from Bose. If I were blind folded, I couldn't tell the difference.
Outside, this product also works extremely well. I blast music and radio all fall while working outside - I'm a winemaker and do all of my harvest and winemaking in this space. I have never had a problem and am extremely satisfied with the product!
Nice Speakers ^ I use these speakers above my hot tub and they seem to be holding up quite well.
Had these for five years in South Florida, still going strong ^ These speakers sound great and have held up well for almost five years now in humid South Florida. I mounted them them outside under the eaves of my house. Even with the cheap plastic brackets that they came with for mounting, they have survived several hurricanes with no problem. The only issue is that the screen plates on the front have started to rust. I will eventually get around to popping them off, cleaning them, and spray painting them. Considering what they have been through and how good they still sound, that is a minor negative, so five stars from my side. Definitely worth the price.
Great Value ^ I couldn't be happier. The Audio Source LS400 speakers look good and sound super. A great value for the money.
For the money is fantastic ^ I got this to go on the patio. I have pair of HUGE Sony SSF's in the living room and a stereo receiver is powering the Audiosource as speaker B's.
The highs are very pronounced and clear. No apparant distortion. The lows are a bit weak when compared to the floor standing Sonys (yeah this is an unfair comparison) but still pretty good. Enough power to play any music at good levels without waking the neighbors.
Downside is the plastic bracket. Accepted a 14 AWG wire easily Recommended.
