Product Description:
America's favorite foot-powered car brand comes into the electronic age with a "high tech" dashboard that makes five electronic sounds. A retractable canopy helps keep the "driver" cool as he tools around town. Plus, a removable floorboard and adjustable four-position handle allow this sporty convertible to grow along with the child from toddler to preschool.

Stage One: With the floorboard in place, an adult pushes the car with the handle. Stage Two: When the toddler can use foot power, the floorboard is removed and an adult guides with the handle. Stage Three: The handle is removed when the older toddler can steer. Inside features include a gearshift, clicking key, cup holder and storage behind the seat. (Stuffed toys not included.) Body comes in a special gloss finish. Requires 2 "AAA" alkaline batteries (not included). Measures approximately 33" x 21" x 20".

Editorial Review:
If you cross a red car with a plastic boat and combine the result with one of those big Victorian baby carriages, you get this entirely novel mode of tot transportation. This little car--32 inches long by 18 inches wide, and riding on 7-inch plastic wheels--has an integral plastic seat 9 inches off the ground and can be powered by two little feet through the hole in the floor. Alternatively, raise the bandshell-style yellow nylon hood and push your preschooler around using the 38-inch-high metal handle that sticks up from behind. The "cockpit" is fully equipped with steering wheel, beeping "horn," an ignition key that turns, a gear shift, and various battery-powered sound effects. Adult assembly is required. --Richard Farr

I bought this car for my daughter when she was getting ready to turn one, she is now 4 years old and although a little tall for it she talks about this car like it was the best toy she ever got. We used it daily to take walks in the neibourhood and it was great at christmas time we would wait til it was dark and take her out on a walk to see the lights and it was so much better than riding in a real car. When we were building our house we lived in an apartment complext and she loved to ride in it to the pool or just to check the mail, also we put her in it at Halloween to go house to house and when she tired we could push her home. The buttons make the cutiest sounds and I can't tell you how many people stopped us to ask where did we get it. The other little children we have come in contact with have also loved this car and although it has no seatbelt I have had no problems with safty. This beats the stroller anyday. You can't go wrong the price is awesome and the car wears well , ours still looks like new. We look forward to using this with our son that we are now expecting. As far as putting it together it was very easy and I had it up and ready to go in less than an hour.

4 out of 5 starsNeeds rubber wheels!!!!
I bought this for my toddler when he turned one and he still loves riding in it (he's now 2), as well as his older brother who is 3 1/2. So I don't regret buying it. The hard plastic wheels make ALOT of noise and start to grate on your nerves after a while. They really need to improve this toy by manufacturing it with rubber wheels instead. Rubber wheels would be much quieter and also absorb shock to make a much more comfortable ride for the child. I would give it 5 stars if it had rubber wheels.

We got this car for our one year old. He loves it! It is much easier to get him to ride in the car than in his stroller. Assembly was of average diffuculty. The instructions were very easy to follow. The price is great for the amount of use he will get out of it. It grows with him. The floor comes off so he can eventually push himself. He will be using it for at least two more years.

5 out of 5 starsA very goog investment!
This car is simply amazing! We bought this for my son when he was about 12 months. He is 3 years now and still plays with it every day. Probably the best part is its similarity to the big red car seen on the Wiggles. It has lasted through the years in the rain and even the California wildfires. This car is built to last! This may be the first hand-me-down that actually makes it to our younger son. Only problem now is that we need two of them. You won't be disappointed if you decide to purchase this car.

5 out of 5 starsStands the test of time...
I purchased this car four years ago when my niece turned one. What I initially liked about it was the floor boards, because when they are that little they really do not have the strength, coordination or endurance to push themselves along with their feet. My niece has a few of those where you push with your feet and after a few yards, she's done. Sure, you can push them around in those "flintstones" type cars but do you want to? a) they have nowhere to rest their feet and end up put their feet down so you don't go too far and b) your back gets tired from being hunched over pushing them. Truthfully, even at 5, my niece prefers the floorboard and still gets pushed around in the car.

We use the car primarily for going on walks nearby to the store or on the bike path (or even trick or treating in the neighborhood) and she has never had a problem with falling. Now, my niece is not and has never been an angel. She probably did try to stand up a few times...but if she did, we simply told her she had to sit down or else we weren't moving anywhere. I really never feared a safety issue because of lack of seatbelts. I mean, the car will only go as fast as you push it, so I just the seatbealt, while could be a good idea to give parents that extra sense of security, I don't think it's a big deal. The same goes for the lack of door...it would be a nice added feature, but I don't think it's a design defect, per se.

Now, my niece is 5 and she has had a little sister who has in turn enjoyed the same use of the car. The years are starting to show physically (stickers peeling), but the car is still intact and runs as well as the first day.

I loved it so much that I am looking into buying a new one for my own yet-to-be-born daughter!
