Ice-T's Best Performance! For those of you that don't know, Ice T is a really good actor.
This movie is a classic.
Highly recommended to all manly men! If you like this movie, check out the movie "The Hunted"!
Intense and action-packed modern-day "The Most Dangerous Game" This film is basically a modern retelling of the old short story "The Most Dangerous Game"; for those unfamiliar with that tale, it revolves around a man who is tricked into being the prey for a man who tired of hunting animals and began to hunt humans for the challenge. The same happens here: Mason (Ice-T) is a homeless bum who has a run-in with a church worker (Charles Dutton, normally a veritable teddy bear, is just a nasty villain here) who convinces him to contact an associate of his for a job (Rutger Hauer). Flying Mason out to their campsite, he is "hired" as a hunting guide, when in fact he is little more than the prey for a vicious human hunt.
This isn't Oscar material, but it's solid Saturday afternoon fare with a solid cast (Garey Busey, F. Murray Abraham, and John C. McGinley of "Office Space" fame in a deranged role that is the polar opposite of his in the aforementioned film); enjoyable fare.
GREAT ACTION ALTHOUGH THE LANGUAGE WAS PRETTY ROUGH IN PLACES, MY HUSBAND & I LIKE THIS VERSION BEST OF THE MOVIES BASED ON "THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME". THE CAST WAS WONDERFUL, THE SETTING WAS GREAT, THE ACTION WAS EXCITING & WE LOVED THE ENDING!
