Product Description:
Sketching as an art form concerned with the quality and volume of information requires three skills: skill in communication, skill in composition, and skill in visual portrayal. The artist taps into these three skills while carrying out a clear plan. Manga sketching, which goes one step further, involves the skill of making the fantastic seem plausible. It also involves skills in determining the quality of the information to be conveyed and how much of it to convey. These last two skills form the focus of this book.

5 out of 5 starsGreat Book For Knowledgeable Artists ^
Great book for people who knows about drawing... not beginners.

I has wonderfully detailed examples in the book that made my art senses tickle.

But this is not a idea book for children under 16 due to some graphics like lady bits.

But to everyone else, awesome book to work with.

5 out of 5 starsBest of the best of the "How to Draw Manga series" ^
This is the first book I've gotten ahold of in the "Sketching manga Style" series...
and I must say, this is the best of the best when it comes to these books.

The book is VERY thick compared to the others and comes with actual step-by-step lessons and exercises for sketching full figure characters.

This series is phenomenal and is on college text-book level. I would order ASAP... before this book goes out-of-print and ends up costing over $100 used.
Even at that price, it is worth it, though.

5 out of 5 starsi recommend it ^
this books kicks ass, man it has step by step instructions, very good for beginners and intermediate like myself...

5 out of 5 starsI should have started with this book a long time ago ^
If only I had found it sooner!!

This book is great. It gives you pointers on drawing manga characters that I think all "how to draw manga" books should have. You want to learn more then how to draw a basic 3/4 view head? Tired of the same beginner crap that all how to draw so and so books seem to ONLY have? This is the book for you! It's intermediate, yes, but in my opinion this is the book I've been waiting for since I started drawing anime characters!

Think you can't be a manga/anime artist? Feel like your missing something instrumental? This book will teach you how to make your character have that "vibe", and point things out that will move you on from flat simple character renditions to what you know is really inside that character.

Get it while you still can!

5 out of 5 starsgreat instruction ^
exceleent info and examples on how to develop a figure. i found it better than some of the other books i had previously purchased.
