Product Description: The feel, thickness and solidity of material and its drape cannot be distinguished. Separated and explained by pose, movement and angle, the approximately 800 plates in this volume introduce how to draw the ever-present suits and sailor suits.
Not what I expected... Its hard to say since I love this series but this book down right sucks. The whole book is pretty much all about suits and barely anything else. To top it all off they dont even have good poses, its pretty much all one guys raising his arm for 200 so pages. If you got this for sailor suits poses and stuff, dont get it. It has about 10 or so pages on sailor suits, and the sailot suit is UGLY. I dont reccomend this book unless you plan on drawing lots of suits and nothing else. Really bad book.
Need help with those folds in suit material?.... Then this is right up your alley! When this book first came out, I knew that it would be beneficial to me. The good thing about this book, is that it has both male and female in their suits/sailor suits doing various poses. The poses to me are very helpful, it gives you the idea of how the material would fold up and how the crease look when doing a certain pose, plus the poses are beneficial when you get stck on a certain pose you can't picture how to draw. This book covers suits and sailor suits and the different actions the models are performing in said outfit. This book is perfect for those starting out in making school uniforms for their characters and need a strong foundation to start from. I don't recommend this book for beginners, simply because the book doesn't break down anything for you in steps. I believe this book is intended for those at intermediate and above levels. Someone who has the concepts of drawing. Other than that, hurry and buy this book, It is well worth your money! I definitely recommend it for any how to draw arsenal.
