Product Description: The kingon curse is broken - and Hyoue's powers are out of control! Heartbroken, he returns to the village where it all began - unleashing a flood of memories about the origin of his relationship with Amane. Meanwhile, Amane herself must take part in the village's annual ceremony before a contemptuous crowd. With no allies at her side and a malicious koma-oni on her heels, can she muster enough strength to track down her loyal demon-dog and bring him home?
A good look on how the entire demon-guardian thing works This book primarily looks at how things work back in Amane's village. With Hyoue unable to take human form they both must return to the village, though not together leaving open the possibility that Amane will find a new servant during the annual demon run. Young and not very skilled or knowledgeable about her feelings, Amane almost loses herself and Hyoue forever. A good solid bridge between book 4 and 6. It may just be me but I see so much DS in this series that anyone into that should start reading these and you will be happily surprised.
