Same old, same old... I'd hate to sound boring, uninterested or lazy in any way; but there's just not very much I can say about The X-Files: Volume 3 that I haven't already said about the X-Files comics that came before it, also published by Checker Book Publishing Group. Because they're all pretty much the same when it comes to the quality or number or comics they contain, and if you read the first two and liked them (or disliked them), it's quite possible you'll like (or dislike) the third one, as well.
Why? Because #3 is just like the first and the second. None of the stories are very long, and just like on TV it's easy to get the feeling that Mulder and Scully "solve" every single case simply too quickly and too easily. Everything just seem too come their way without much bothering from their side. The drawings themselves do what they're supposed to and tell the stories according to the script, but unlike other comics where every single page is a pure masterpiece, the adventures of the two stubborn FBI-agents are not ones you'll want to come back to just for the sheer beauty of the presentation.
And that's all there is to say in this review. If you bought the first two and liked them you'll be wise to buy the third one, as well. However, if you have more of a general interest in comics there are tons and tons of better alternatives to spend your hard-earned money on.
