AWESOME!!! this was a GREAT first installment of this series. I'd already watched the anime, but this manga is just as good as the anime :). I highly recommend buying this series to anyone!! It's just one of those series that has a bunch of something for everyone. There's romance, comedy (some parts just made me laugh out loud, haha), and so on. Go out and get your own copies if you can!
A perfect girl finds a perfect boy.. I haven't really read any Manga of the Shjo type. Some would say that it would be odd because I am a male. But I was interested, and I do love the Romance genre in media. So, I decided to go into Walden Books and buy the Kare Kano Volume 1-3 collection. Since I just finished the first volume in this collection and feel like reviewing, I will review this and review the whole collection after reviewing the 3rd separately.
Kare Kano is a very entertaining Manga. You could almost cry. The humor, romance, and suspense that builds in the relationship of Miyazawa and Arima is unexplainable. This heart-racing Manga was excellent and I am getting ready to stop reviewing and just read the second volume right now.
Miyazawa seems like the perfect girl. She has good looks, she's smart, and she's admired by her peers. But, Arima is taking that away from her. They are competing in the battle of admiration, although Arima doesn't care. Soon, they become friends and peers are gossiping about a girlfriend-boyfriend relationship.
This manga will leave you begging for more. A page-turner for all Shojo, New Shojo, and Manga fans.
Awesome Sweet, romantic manga with emotional artwork. The story is not unusual (high school romance) but it's beautifully drawn and written. I like how Tsuda varies her drawing style to reflect the characters' emotions and I liked the characters a lot.
Wow I don't even really know where to start about this manga. This is the first manga that I ever bought, and now I have around 190 graphic novels and growing. So this must have been a good manga to have started my obsession. I now own all 21 volumes, and they're all just awesome. This is definitely a great starter manga, it will have you buying more and more. So if you have any doubts, yes, buy this!
students love I am a high school English teacher and have found that my students really enjoy this series. It is a series that they can relate to as well as it being their first encounter with manga. My school board took a big chance letting me teach this to the students, but it has gotten them reading and they enjoy it. Great series, I love it myself and read faithfully!!!
