Milton Caniff's newspaper classic shifts into high gear with stories featuring the villainous Sanjak, the outrageous Singh-Singh, and the mysterious Hu Shee. Containing over 100 lovingly-restored color Sunday pages and more than 700 total comic strips, The Complete Terry And The Pirates provides nonstop adventure, comedy, and romance, as IDW Publishing's Library of American Comics showcases the incredible work of milton Caniff, forever known as The Rembrandt of American Comics.
Third and midway volume, coming on stronger. This is the excellent third volume to this comprehensive reprinting of the classic "Terry and the Pirates" series. I have wanted to read this series, but missed out on the previous reprint series done by NBM several years back (being a poor student at the time, I could not afford the multiple expensive volumes).
Continuing from the 2nd volume, T&P story comes on stronger. We get more of the Dragon Lady and get introduced to a new character who will continue into the next volume.
One, Two, and now Three; another winner. As I've already reviewed the first two volumes of this splendid and handsome six-part set, I won't repeat myself except to say if you loved the first two, you'll love volume three. After completing volume two, I was disappointed only in that I would have to wait another few months to receive the next edition. My guess is that if I had all six volumes at once, I would read them all too quickly, ruining the anticipation of awaiting the next in line.
In a nutshell, the magnificent quality has been continued, the stories keep getting better, and all three volumes truly look impressive upon my bookshelf. If you haven't bought the first volume yet and are a Milton Caniff fan, shame on you. Order them now while they are still in print.
