Immeasurable and unforeseen repercussions will come to all!
A Great Chapter of Legacy! I couldn't put it down! Unlike other volumes, this one has an AWSOME space battle! With all the new ships, I was thinking one was long overdue. The plotline is great, and the characters that fill the plotline are interesting. This is a great addition to the Star Wars universe!
Alliance (Star Wars: Legacy, Vol. 4) The new Star Wars graphic novel serie Legacy is better than most Star Wars Expanded Universe series. I think the Clone War 9 volume graphic novel serie was the best, but this new line of Star Wars stories came very close... This volume, Alliance (Star Wars: Legacy, Vol. 4) has not so good plots as previous volume 4 (Claws of the Dragon) has. But it is still good and readable Star Wars graphic novel.Alliance (Star Wars: Legacy, Vol. 4)
Good but, what the hell? If you're a Star Wars fan, then you will love the Star Wars Legacy series. It is a very new and very cool story full of everything that you love about the Star Wars universe. This particular collection of the comics is the 4th vol. While very good still, it was frustrating to find out that it skips 4 issues for some strange reason. The graphic novel jumps from issue 22 straight to 27. Now the other 4 are still being released in another compilation book, however it just bothered me that they did it this way. So basically, by itself this graphic novel isn't that great. If you plan on buying them all then it's another great piece of the overall story arc.
The Legacy story grows With this volume John Ostrander takes a gamble and it pays off. Cade Skywalker, the drug-addicted descendant of Luke Skywalker and our hero so far, does not appear. In fact he's barely mentioned.
Instead the storyline moves sideways to focus on the admiral of the last Alliance fleet fighting a guerilla war against the Sith.
The second half of the book deals with a Sith Jedi's attempt to learn the lost secrets of a Sith Lord.
Some readers will be frustrated by the lack of forward motion but this volume fleshes out some of the supporting characters and the Legacy universe.
Compelling Despite Only Practically Unknown Characters The artwork's beautiful. I'm not a true comic book junkie, but the star wars franchise has been smart enough to always hire the best in the business. They don't disappoint. Even some of the strange panel maneuvers work out well.
The story is typical star wars yet still compelling and new.
The story barely mentions Cade Skywalker and ends up following some fairly unknown characters, but it's driven by the same desperate need to survive that has propelled many star wars tales to wonderful heights.
