the creative artist Nita LeLand is one author that consistently produces informational books on art that are easy to follow with supporting photos and little informational inserts to get you creating on your own. It is broken into themes and carries much information in little space. She is a master teacher and always is encouraging and supportive. Each book is as exciting and the one before.
bought it as a gift it will be perfect I bought this as a gift and it is really a nice looking book. I thumbed through it before I sent it to my brother and sis in law!
creative This book is marvelous! I'm teaching myself to draw/paint and striving to become more creative, and every page has something of value to my quests. There are many ideas for exercises to expand creativity and skills, and the presentation is lovely and exciting. I've read cursorily through the book but go slowly through it every day and savor the lessons. I can't imagine ever tiring of this book.
The new creative artist This book was recommended reading while I was on amazon buying another book. I would highly recommend it. I could not put it down till I have overviewed it all. Now back to chapter one and still on chapter one. It is full of good hints. Not only are there hints on how to unleach your inner artist but also basic psychology and philosophy read many times before ... and now hitting home. Jackie
