Quilters have pieced on foundations for more than 100 years. Now the experts present The Experts’ Guide to Foundation Piecing, showcasing all the innovations developed during that century. With an engaging history of the craft, plus fifteen great projects and clear instructions for each technique, this book will make every quilter an expert in foundation piecing.
The Happy Quilter For anyone interested in foundation piecing, this book provides not just Jane Hall's expertise, but tips and techniques by some of the expert quilters. It gives the reader different perspectives and techniques rather than just "one right way" to piece. The variety of projects highlighted is great. This would be a great addition for any quilt guild library.
The Experts guide to foundation Piecing, 15 techniques and projects. As a Paper piecing enthusiast, i found this book to be a wonderful addition to my library. The compilation of techniques used by well know teacher/author/designers and the projects listed make this a book to reach for when contemplating the next project. Informative history, clear instruction, tips and tricks take much of the guess work out of creating projects that, at first glance, look overly complicated. While not for the rank beginner, anyone who has enjoyed success with paper piecing will welcome this book into their homes.
The only foundation piecing book you'll ever need. I am sooo impressed with this book. I have struggled with various methods of foundation piecing and even taken classes from some of the people in this book. But finally, all of the methods are in one place and AI can flip back and forth to compare and contrast one when getting ready to start a project. All of the projects are good representatives of that author's method and worth doing even if you are already comfortable with that method. I can't recommend this book highly enough.
