5 out of 5 starsThe moment I knew I was corrupted...
Jazz is the first yaoi series I owned so it holds a special place in my heart. Sure it might not be the prettiest, most original yaoi out there but you could do a lot worse. First off Naoki and Doc are manly man, no small children or girly guys in this, and thats how I like it. Then the angst level is turned up to eleven. Angst is always good...Its awesome!

5 out of 5 starsFascinating Story!
First of all its a Drama OK, in dramas they intended to mix it up. The art were Ok it supports the story. The story was amazing pretty interesting to me the way the characters react and their moods.

Everyone have different styles of understanding to something thats why humans are so unique to each other because we don't think the same like for those negative reviews that how they *review* the book. Give it a try, If your a Yaoi Collector like me and you didn't like the manga, just be happy you have the volume one to add on you collections so it will not hurt at all.

3 out of 5 starsOkay but won't get the other volumes
Jazz, is in general a Like it or Hate it series. I fall in the, I didn't care much for it but didn't dislike it either category. It started off with a patient falling for his doctor, not too unreasonable. There was some non-con and a lot soul searching, nothing too much out of the Yaoi genre. What irked me was the overly Westernized way of speaking and calling peoples names. "Doc" this and "Doc" that. They should have just left it in the original Japanese, which may have been sensei. It reminded me of Passion where he kept on saying Sir.

4 out of 5 starsTypical yaoi drama (not a bad thing!)
I got this today, finished reading it today, and ordered two more volumes today. I really liked this. Somehow the drama was...enticing. There were a lot of emotions flying around and undertones of romance. Seemed like it could end at just volume 1 like a oneshot, but the art is great and I really want to see how the characters and the story develop because they sure are under-developed in this volume. Yes, some non-consensual physical acts are displayed, but nothing particularly graphic (meaning you can't tell if anything is anatomically correct or not). Maybe someone who is more of a beginner yaoi reader or a boys love reader will want to shy away from this.

4 out of 5 starsJazz Rev
Angsty with issues of dubious consent or even non-con at the very beginning, if you can get past that the story reminds me of a girls teenage romance. The handsome doctor fixes the boy, the boy becomes infatuated/obsessed, dubious consent with doctor, doctor goes angsty, boy winds up actually in love with doctor, doctor is still angsty and leaves the country, boy chases after, angstily happily ever after. Very cliche story but the art work is wonderful impo and the story details are actually done in such a way that you don't notice the story is actually cliched because you are so drawn into the story and the atmosphere itself. If you have money to spare and your into gay romance, I'd say buy it.
