Terrible Disappointment I was surprised to finish this manga and then come on to Amazon to share my thoughts and to see two reviews that give it 5 stars. Did we read the same book?
If you read Love Recipe 1, don't be too quick to buy Volume 2. I really enjoyed the first manga in the series so I was excited to have number two in my hands. But it was nothing at all like the first in terms of plot quality.. or really anything.
Love Recipe 2 seemed devoid of any warmth or feeling like what was in the first volume and, to put it in a nutshell, it all seemed poorly put together. I could name a few other major flaws with this volume but I sum it up with the words boredom and disappointment.
I'f you're expecting the novel to be about the two characters that you fell in love with in the first volume, you're in for a huge let down. This volume derails from the two main lovers and stays derailed the whole way through. Instead, you're dragged through Sazawa's mentoring of a new artist to the BL company who for me was difficult to like. Perhaps it was because of the weak ways in which this character was used, or maybe because in the back of my conscience I was yearning to see more of the two main characters, who were supposed to be the focus of this series.
If all you care about are the cute drawings of Sazawa with Bunny ears and a love scene slapped at the end of this manga then purchase this. But if you're looking for a Yaoi with feeling and any sort of comprehensible and entertaining plot, save your twelve bucks for another yaoi instead. I recommend 'Little Butterfly' by Hinako Takanaga. Love Recipes Volume 2 Very Great. Was glad they came out with a second book hope volume three come out very fast. it was great to see what the charecters where upto and how they all turn out. and if the main two can stay in Love
A funny romantic sexy romp this is a funny sexy romp and it made me laugh and I am enjoying the storyline. I can hardly wait for the next volume.
