Whether new to the show or a diehard fan, this illuminating guide to the Emmy and Golden Globe Award–winning television program Lost helps viewers piece together the latest additions to the puzzle from season three with detailed discussions of the multitudinous characters, their spotty backgrounds, and the mysterious islands. Thorough examinations of each episode provide fresh insight into the baffling world of both the plane crash survivors and the Others—including why the Others have compounds on both the main and smaller islands, how each organizational hierarchy developed, and who is really behind the Dharma Project—while additional chapters explore the historical figures, books, religious iconography, and other clues scattered throughout the show. Dozens of previously unpublished on-set photos and new cast member biographies are also included.
Where's a book with real plot summaries? Can someone recommend a guide with really complete plot summaries? The ideal would be something like the episode summaries for Grey's Anatomy on the official Grey's website. I bought this book because I wanted to bone up on what had happened to date in the show. I've watched it from the beginning, but I don't have perfect recall of everything that's happened. So I ordered this to get caught up before season 4. I realized right away that this book isn't intended to provide plot summaries; she says so explicitly in the introduction. So, my question is, is there a book that DOES provide complete plot summaries? If so, what is it? Thanks for any help.
A book essential to every lost fan's book shelf What a great book!! It has pieces of information that I never would have noticed by just watching each episode. The pictures were great also, because their was one on almost every page. The little pieces of trivia were great, like Sawyer's nickname's, What Kate's criminal names could mean, and many more. If you are a lost fan, order NOW!!!
Review of Nikki Stafford Season Three FINDING LOST the Unofficial Guide I enjoyed "Season 3 FINDING LOST the unofficial guide" By Nikki Stafford I'd rec'mnd it to those Fans who just love to dwelve into all tidbits concerning LOST.
I love the 'Nitpick's' she'll add to each show chapter and there is the 'DID you Notice?' where she will point out cute details - like did you see the AD for Apollo Bars on the Bus that ran down Juliets Husband... things like that. Each episode is devoted a chapter with breakdown and critiques.
A fun read for Fans of Lost!
Things to think about The author does a great job of highlighting the symbolism and intertwining references to history and literature to provide a much more complex picture of the Lostaways' story. Her "biographical" info on the actors is slim and shallow, but that isn't really what you are looking for anyway when you purchase the book. Lots of work and thought went into it. It is certainly worth the purchase price for fans.
Great for the details you missed I am a huge fan of Lost. I watch every episode mutiple times. When I read this book I couldn't believe I missed so much in some episodes. If you are a Lost fan. Hardcore or not, you should get this book.
