This new edition includes the scoop on the surprises in store as Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly known at the Disney-MGM Studios) marks its 20th anniversary. We'll also take an insider's look at the thrilling new interactive attraction, Toy Story Mania. Other updates include new tips and Birnbaum's Bests; all the insider info about stage shows, parades, and nighttime spectaculars; prices and ticket options; customized travel tips for teenagers, international travelers, guests with disabilities; and a comprehensive character meal chart to help guests pick their favorite dining spots.
great book easy to read This book is easier to get through than some others. It is very easy to find what you are looking for. It may not have the extras or frills as some of the others either but it is the easiest. I got this side by side with another. We use both. When it comes time to hunt for something I use this while my husband uses the other I find it first every time. The other book is great as well and I do like the perks but at times feel more slowed down than I do with this book.
Reads like a Disney brochure I guess knowing it was the "official" guide should have tipped me off. It's like a brochure put out by Disney. All the hotels, restaurants, and rides are fabulous, at least according to this book. It does contain some good pictures and official information that might be useful, but I wish I would have just gotten the Unofficial Guide rather than also wasting my money on this book.
The same old Birnbaum This is basically the same edition I bought my son when he went to WDW in 2007, the only real difference is a few attractions were added (or removed) in the park since the last book, and prices for hotels, admission, and parking are changed yearly in the guides but it sucks that Birnbaum's puts out basically the same book each year. I buy these guides each time we go to WDW, and it's kind of a ritual now, to get psyched up for the trip. But I think next time we go we'll look at this 2009 guide and check [...] for updates in pricing and new attractions.
I love Disney! I'm a major Disney fan & consider this book the authority on Disney. I bought it as a birthday gift for my nephew. He is in a time of his life where he needs something to look forward to & I have promised to take him to WDW as soon as he is able to go.
Disney World Bucks This product is very comprehensive and well worth the money. Not only can you lay out your trip ahead of time, but the comparative expenses make it easy to budget for a vacation. I would like to have had it before I went - good information.
