“This is a wonderful text, remarkable for its breadth and freshness of approach. Hill links the often arcane world of international business to society and history. He has a good eye for the telling detail and the illuminating quotation. I shall be recommending this to my friends who are teaching, saying 'read this and get your students to stay curious.’”

Excellent Excellent book! The case studies at the end of every chapter sum things up very well
good service good service, quick response to emails, arrived exact when it should, in time for my class.
Informative textbook, bargain edition! The international edition of the 7th edition of International Business is a steal! It's the same as the hardcover US edition textbook word for word, but it's about $80 cheaper. As far as the textbook itself, it is very informative and easy to read.
Lots of info, have to take in doses.... I am currently involved with this book through my MBA program. We are only an 8 week class, so we literally are reading 2-3 chapters at a time. As such, you end up reading chapters twice to be sure you absorb the right information.
This book is very detalied and helps you understand the complexities of international buisness. So much of it is understanding culture and how to react appropriately when an opportunity to expand your business arises... and this book will get you thinking. It also explains very well why companies absorb others rather than greenfield their investments. Quite simply, it pays to buy businesses with built in knowledge bases.
I do recommend this book highly.
Comprehensive text actually worth reading! Well written text that covers many import international business topics. The charts and graphs are up to date. The case studies are very helpful. All in all a great text. It is one of the most read texts I have ever owned (and I am an engineer).
