Abridged and edited Graphic Novel, Not good to do! Anyone who has been reading the DC Universe of comics knows about the on/off relation that Green Arrow and Black Canary has had. Since 1969, they have had an on/off relationship... Think Sam and Diane (of Cheers) of the comics.
Now this month, they have FINALLY married these two heroes together as part of the Countdown series. That is the good news
To celebrate the marriage, DC delivered a best of GA/BC stories in a graphic novel format. The problem is some of these tales are cut and abridged with small editor notes of their relationship.
LOOK DC ,when I want to buy a reprint collection, please reprint the whole story, not 10 pages as in Green Arrow 101-The Run of the Arrow (which was the 1985 death of Green Arrow) and 14 of the Hunters (from the Green Arrow Long Bow Hunters collection (both more than 22-25 pages each)and others in this collection. What is also missing is a few of the reprints of the Brave & the Bold's GA/BC books with Batman and any of the Neal Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow work, that started their romantic chemestry.
So DC, since you do the Black & White Showcase reprints books so well, Do a better color reprint of this kind of book next time.
I rate it two for the classics stuff that is uncut and reprinted, maybe next try another book when you divorce these characters
