Mark Waid displays his geekery again, here, linking the Dominator invasion in the 31st century back to the cheesy Dominator War DC event in earlier, time, complete with a Booster Gold cameo and joke.
That being said, this collection of issues 26-30 is just as enjoyable as the rest, with an old Legion stalwart making an appearance, and plots within plots as Cos, Brainy, Mekt Ranzz and the Wanderers, and the Dominators try to get the upper hand in this battle of the planets.
Pretty cool SF and superhero action.
I enjoyed it! ^ I have been buying comics for 40 years although now I wait until the compilation comes out. And I have not been disappointed. Very good story with even a few surprises for long time readers like myself.
