5 out of 5 starsFlawless
Buying this book was probably the best $10 I ever spent. I picked it up at a bookstore, read it in about 30-45 minutes, and loved every second of it.

It has everything: lovely storyline, eye-popping artwork, and wonderful character development. I was also pleasantly surprised by seeing hints of Rae/BB romance towards the end. The villain, Brother Blood VIII, is actually a 14 year old "vampire", as in, he eats human flesh and blood. He has captured and hypotized Raven, and now wants to marry her. The Titans are obviously not going to stand for this and decide to change his wedding plans. Throughout the battles Brother Blood is constantly coming up with phrases that are so truely teenaged that it's a little bit amusing. For example:

Raven to Beast Boy: "Why am I the way I am?"

Brother Blood (interrupting as he floats up through a puddle of blood): "Because ... Trigon made you that way. Because you are perfect in every fashion, Raven-- because I really like you. Like you, like you."

It's unique and a nice comdey relief, aside from Beast Boy.

As a Raven fan, I really appreciated that this story was more centered on her (even though seeing her with a shaved head was a bit... unexpected.) It also gives a complete background story to Raven, beginning with the events that led to her conception and birth right up through the rest of those years in the comics. Even if you aren't a fan of Raven, there are moments concerning the other Titans that you won't want to miss, such as:

Showing how Cyborg keeps himself in fit condition through taking himself apart and then reassmbling himself (what cool artowrk accompanied THAT one!)

StarFire getting angry and going into a fit where she curses and mutters in Tamaranean because Krypto the Superdog wrecked her garden.

BeastBoy's reaction to having to turn into an intestinal parasite and go into Brother Blood's body to retrieve Raven's chakra.

Of course, this book isn't all happy-go-lucky... there is a lot of bloodshed, and we also follow along with Rose Wilson (AKA Ravager) as she tries to live up to her father Deathstroke (also known as Slade)'s insane example.

This book is an absolute must for all of you who are established Titans fans, and will help those of you who don't know much about the Titans to get a good feel for them. I recomend it to anyone who enjoys a good comic book. You don't find many like this anymore.

3 out of 5 starsSure, why not?
Go ahead and buy this book if you like the various Teen Titans titles. You could do a lot worse.

If however many Brother Bloods were not a problem for the Teen Titans, you can throw in the 11/10 amoral man Deathstroke, and his evil supervillain daughter. Hooboy has he screwed her up.

So, some good bad guys to cause the midget type heroes some problem sin this trade.

5 out of 5 starsAmazing
It's an amazing tail about the birth of stongest young team of superheroes

2 out of 5 starsTrigon revisited
This is sequel to 'Kid's game' and second book of Teen Titan's relaunch but, for me, story was lame. Main villain is some kinda warlock/gothic guy and there is lot of blood, bones and splatter, as if Clive Barker wrote a book (or you are playing Diablo). Artwork is good, but story reminds me too much of fight with Trigon in original Titan's first story arc...I guess don't like magic/gothic stories in superhero books.
