A Great Read This is a wonderful compilation of tales of desolation set on both human and alien worlds. The stories show remarkable feats of human spirit, exploration, and great achievements. I especially enjoyed Tomb, Gifts of Bone, Nor Winter's Cold, and Flying Solo.
A haunting colection This collection will offer something for any type of reader. From stories of eerie beauty like Flying Solo by Camile Alexa to borderline speculative horror like Tenth Orbit by Gustavo Bondoni this exceptional anthology has something for every interest. One single trend stands out in all the stories, the desolation and desperation of solitude, be it self imposed or forced upon the characters by unfortunate events. A great read that is worth your time whether you are a hardcore SF fan or just looking for an enjoyable read.
