Very disappointed I was looking for a serious guide for questions about raising my twin toddler girls. This book was uninformative and uninspiring. She doesn't tell you anything new that you don't hear talking with other moms you know. And her underlying tone through the whole book is you will be highly stressed out and pulling your hair out. Like we need to know that! Don't waste your money- stick to the experts.
Great, but a bit scary! I have twin girls, and her boys sound like monsters! But it has great tips and is more readable than most twin books. Lyons is really funny and lighthearted about everything. My girls are nowhere near as destructive as her boys, so it was kind of a shocker to hear some of the stories. I think girls are just more mellow or something. But I would recommend this book to anyone. There just isn't a lot of stuff on what to do AFTER the first year of twins!
Truly a Must for Twin Moms!! Every twin mom really has to read this book. I have read many different types of information on raising toddler twins & this is the best!! The author provides practical information from her experiences (and others) in an entertaining way. Real information from a real mom of twins!!
Exactly what I needed This book was exactly what I needed. I read the 1st book, Ready or Not, Here we Come and this one was just as good or better. I am really hoping there is a third. It gave me the day to day issues and how the author and other Mothers of Twins handled day to day situations. I have other books that give good advice on many levels, but this is the book that I look to for the real life answers. I have encountered many of the same situations that the author has and I have found that I am not alone. This book saved my sanity. I recommend this book to anyone with twins, but especially with twin boys.
So True My husband and I laughed so much while reading this book . . . because so many of these things happened to us also. We have twin boys that are 17 months old as well as a 4 year old. This book gave us a little comic relief to raising twins. It does give some ideas on how to manage situations, but most were common sense ideas. If you are looking for a strict guide to raising twins: what to and not to do, this may not be it, but it was a fun read. It is always great to know that you are not alone, especially with twins.
