4 out of 5 starsNot a simple how-to but a useful 'why'
As a practioner of the more 'traditional' karate, I started studying the Kenpo system by myself - out of curiosity. I discovered a well structured system, logically built up and educationally very nice. This book - and the rest of the series - succeeded in providing me with a lot of useful information which I can, as surplus, also apply to the 'traditional' karate. This series is definitely worth the money.
By the way, Funakoshi Soke, Mabuni Soke, Jigoro Kano Soke and other greats in the martial arts were actually pioneers, not traditionalists. So the word 'traditional' is only relative.

4 out of 5 starsReally good
The book cover somem of the basic forms, as you can see in the index. HIghly recomended for starters. Sometimes the masters doesn't take the time to show with patience or maybe the class content it's too much. This book is a good reference to remember what you have been doing in class.
