The Vanishing Genre Given that the genre is disappearing for some reasons not very clear to me, this graphic novel by cartoonist & novelist James Kochalka still amused me when I had found it again on the shelf and read it the second time.
Reclaim your forgotten childhood sensibilities! It may not seem like much at first glance, but James Kochalka has a charming style that endears his readers to his work. His main character, Magic Boy (based on the author himself), could easily represent the child in each of us. He's curious, unsure about life, in need of affection and always looking for a good time. Consequently, 'Tiny Bubbles' captures all the sense of wonder most of us have long since forgotten we used to have.
